The Greyville Convention Centre made a commitment to sustainability by installing solar panels on the roof of the Silver Ring. This initiative was aimed at reducing the centre's carbon footprint and promoting the use of clean energy. This move towards renewable energy is not only environmentally friendly but also cost-effective for the convention centre. By generating our own electricity, the centre can reduce its reliance on traditional power sources and lower its overall energy costs. We’re are dedicated to finding new and innovative ways to reduce their carbon footprint and promote the use of clean energy.
Greyville Convention Centre went green with the installation of solar panels on the Silver Ring roof. The panels can generate up to 250kwh, sufficient to supply the electrical base load needs of the “non-racing” building of Greyville day-to-day operations.
